Bridgestone/Firestone Receives Environmental Award at Ford's
Annual World Excellence Awards
Nashville, Tn. (April 20, 2000) - Bridgestone/Firestone,
Inc. (BFS) is trying to make a difference and it shows. BFS was recognized
for its environmental efforts at the recent Ford Motor Company’s Annual
World Excellence Awards Ceremony held at the Detroit Opera Theatre in
Detroit. Bridgestone/Firestone received a Recognition of Achievement
Award for Environmental Leadership for the ISO 14001 plant certification
and for its use of recycled material in tire manufacturing.
The Recognition of Achievement Awards are presented to suppliers that
are successful in leading Ford initiatives that deliver mutual success
in customer satisfaction.
